How to Prepare for Your Cosmetic Surgery

Pre-op instructions on how to get prepared for cosmetic surgery by allure medspa

Please follow these instructions to help ensure a safe, smooth surgical experience.
These are general guidelines—always follow the specific directions provided by your surgeon and anesthetist.
If anything changes in your health before surgery, contact us immediately.

Pre-Cosmetic Surgery Preparation (Prior to Your Date)

  • No smoking: Stop smoking at least 15 days before your surgery. Avoid nicotine products and vaping.
  • Supplements & OTC products: Inform us about all over-the-counter items you take (nutritional supplements, vitamins, fat burners, herbal products, “wellness” products).
  • Prescription medicines & medical conditions: Tell us if you have any medical ailment (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disease, heart disease, asthma, psychiatric illness). Obtain a fitness opinion from your physician/specialist if advised.
  • Past history: Share any prior illnesses, hospitalizations, or surgeries—even if they seem minor—so we can plan safely.
