Liposuction Cost in Mumbai, India — Complete Guide & Price Breakdown
Liposuction in Mumbai at Allure Medspa costs between ₹45,000 and ₹2,50,000 as a guide range, depending on the body area treated, the amount of fat being removed, the technique selected, and whether your procedure needs day-care treatment or overnight admission. Your exact figure is set in an itemised written quotation after examination.
The price gap between one patient and another can be wide, because liposuction isn’t priced simply by naming a body area. A small amount of fat beneath the chin needs very different operating time, anaesthesia and facility resources compared with circumferential treatment of the abdomen, flanks and back. For the operation itself, read liposuction surgery in Mumbai.
- Single smaller area (e.g. double chin): from about ₹45,000
- Abdomen: ₹80,000 – ₹1,30,000
- Multi-area combination: ₹1,20,000 – ₹2,50,000
- Lipo 360: ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,00,000
- Consultation: ₹1,500 — adjusted against surgery if the surgery is done within 6 months
Pathway callout: These are indicative ranges, not quotations — GST is shown separately on your invoice. This guide explains what decides your number, when a technique premium is worth paying, what a quote should include, and how insurance and EMI really work.

What three things should you understand before using this table?
- Indicative, not a quotation: your final price is decided after examination.
- GST is separate: it isn’t included in these headline figures.
- Size matters: two patients asking for “stomach liposuction” may need very different volumes and operating times.
Why are some areas “quoted after examination”?
Back, buttock, male-chest and female-breast cases vary too widely to range honestly in advance. Back fat is often fibrous; male chests may contain a gland that needs excision; buttock shaping depends on whether volume or contour is the goal; and breast reduction by liposuction suits only selected, predominantly fatty breasts.
🩺 Dr. Doshi’s Note: “I will not quote a price over WhatsApp, and you should be wary of any clinic that will. Price follows volume, and volume follows examination. A number given before I have seen you is a number I would have to revise later — and revising a price after someone has emotionally committed is not something I am willing to do.”
What Does Liposuction Cost by Concern Look Like?
Your concern points to the operation, and the operation sets the price — within the ₹45,000–₹2,50,000 liposuction band, a double chin sits at ₹45,000–₹60,000 while a whole-waist Lipo 360 sits at ₹1,50,000–₹2,00,000. Find the row closest to your concern, then confirm it at examination.
Main concern | Procedure usually assessed | Guide range |
Fullness under the chin or along the jawline | Chin & jawline liposuction | ₹45,000 – ₹60,000 |
A roll above the hips (love handles) | Flank and hip liposuction | ₹50,000 – ₹90,000 |
Upper-arm fat with reasonably firm skin | Arm liposuction | ₹50,000 – ₹1,20,000 |
Inner or outer thigh fat | Thigh liposuction | ₹50,000 – ₹1,20,000 |
Lower or upper belly fat | Abdomen liposuction | ₹80,000 – ₹1,30,000 |
A belly with a shelf at the sides | Abdomen + flanks in one session | Within ₹1,20,000 – ₹2,50,000 |
The whole waist, front to back | Lipo 360 | ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,00,000 |
Bra roll or back fat | Back liposuction | Quoted after examination |
Male chest fullness | Male chest liposuction — gland may need excision | Quoted after examination |
Dense or fibrous fat, or a revision area | Technique chosen for the tissue, e.g. VASER | Area band + any technique premium in writing |
Uneven result after earlier liposuction | Revision liposuction | Quoted after examination |
Loose skin or separated abdominal muscles | Tummy tuck or arm lift assessed instead | Different cost structure — see that procedure |
A concern-to-procedure map is not a treatment recommendation — technique depends on anatomy. Guide only; final quotation after assessment.

Liposuction Surgery Before After Results
Wondering How Liposuction Can Transform You?
Dr. Doshi Explains Facelift Cost
Why Choose Dr. Milan Doshi?
Dr. Milan Doshi, MCh, MS — Indian board-certified plastic surgeon with 27+ years in aesthetic surgery. ISAPS mentor, trusted by patients from 70+ countries. Consults at Andheri West; surgeries at the NABH-accredited surgical centre, Goregaon West.
Dr Doshi Note: “When a quote is dramatically below the market, ask what has been removed from it — accreditation, anaesthetist, overnight monitoring, or the surgeon’s own presence for the whole case. In liposuction, those are the four things you are actually paying for.”
Understanding Your Quote — the Details
What Factors Affect Liposuction Cost?
Your liposuction cost — from ₹45,000 upwards — is mainly decided by four things: the number of areas treated, the total volume removed, the technique required, and the anaesthesia and facility level needed to do it safely. This is why the cheapest-looking “per area” price online can mislead.
| Factor | How it changes the price | What to understand |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Number of areas | Usually one of the biggest drivers | Cost doesn’t rise in a straight line — a neighbouring area in the same session usually costs less than booking it separately |
| 2. Total volume | More volume means more surgical time and fluid management | More than 5,000 mL of total aspirate (fat plus fluid) is large-volume liposuction, with different safety planning |
| 3. Technique | VASER, laser or high-definition sculpting add equipment, consumables and time | A more expensive technique isn’t automatically better for your body |
| 4. Anaesthesia and facility | Tumescent local vs regional/general anaesthesia, anaesthetist, theatre time, overnight observation | These are safety-related costs, not optional extras |
Why doesn’t adding an area double the price?
Theatre setup, the anaesthesia team, staff, some consumables and postoperative care are already needed for the first area — so treating a neighbouring area in the same session usually costs less than booking it separately later.
| Scenario | What you are paying for |
|---|---|
| One area | Full fixed theatre, team and anaesthesia setup, plus treatment of one area |
| Three areas in one suitable session | Fixed costs are shared, so the additional-area cost is lower |
| Three areas in three separate sessions | Theatre and related fixed costs are paid three times, with three separate recovery periods |
Does the amount of fat removed affect the cost?
Yes — but liposuction shouldn’t be priced or planned simply by the maximum number of litres that can be removed. Larger procedures may need more operating time, greater monitoring and sometimes overnight observation. The safe treatment volume is decided clinically before cost is considered.
When should treatment be staged?
Staging should remain a safety decision, not a pricing decision. If your surgeon recommends separate sessions, it should be because the planned volume, operating time or your medical profile makes staging more appropriate.
What's Included in the Cost?
At Allure Medspa, the liposuction fee — ₹45,000 to ₹2,50,000 by plan — covers the surgeon, anaesthetist, theatre and the routine care around the operation, listed line by line in an itemised written quotation, so you can see what’s included rather than comparing clinics on one headline number.
| Included | Detail |
|---|---|
| Surgeon’s fee | Dr. Doshi performs the case |
| Anaesthetist’s fee | Qualified anaesthetist |
| Operating theatre & facility charges | Surgical-facility costs |
| Standard consumables & tumescent solution | Included as part of treatment |
| First compression garment | Issued before discharge |
| Initial postoperative medication | As prescribed for early recovery |
| Scheduled postoperative reviews | Part of your surgical package |
| Day-care stay | For cases not requiring overnight admission |
| Consultation | ₹1,500 — adjusted against surgery if the surgery is done within 6 months |
Keep the quotation and the consent aligned. The areas and technique on the estimate should match the plan discussed at examination — an added area or a technique premium should appear as its own line, not inside a package title.
What May Not Be Included?
Items outside the ₹45,000–₹2,50,000 surgical fee can include GST, pre-operative tests, an overnight stay, a spare garment and travel — confirm each one in writing before you decide.
| Not Included | Why or When It May Apply |
|---|---|
| GST | Shown as a separate line on your invoice |
| Pre-operative investigations | Blood tests and fitness assessment |
| Overnight or extended admission | When volume or medical factors require it |
| Additional compression garment | Many patients prefer to buy a spare |
| Optional lymphatic massage sessions | Separate, if you choose them |
| Treatment of unrelated conditions | Not part of the original surgical plan |
| Travel and accommodation | For outstation and international patients |
| Revision or touch-up surgery | Terms are set out in writing in your quotation |
Revision and touch-up policy: the written quotation controls. Ask how further treatment would be charged before you agree a date, so an included review isn’t confused with the cost of another operation.
Technique Premiums: Does VASER Cost More Than Regular Liposuction?
Yes — VASER and some other energy-assisted techniques cost more than standard tumescent liposuction because of equipment, consumables and operating time, and the exact premium is confirmed in your written quotation after examination. Paying it only makes sense when the technique adds value for your tissue.
| Technique | Cost position | When the additional cost may be useful |
|---|---|---|
| Tumescent liposuction | Baseline | Soft, easily treated fat in a patient with suitable skin |
| VASER / ultrasound-assisted | Premium over baseline | Dense or fibrous tissue, male chest, back, upper abdomen, revision work, selected sculpting |
| Laser-assisted | Premium over baseline | Selected smaller localised areas |
| High-definition / etching | Highest premium | Already-lean patients seeking detailed muscle definition |
| Power-assisted (PAL) | Usually no separate premium | Efficiency in selected larger-volume cases |
Is the VASER premium worth paying?
VASER can justify a higher price in selected dense, fibrous or revision cases. The available comparison evidence doesn’t support assuming it produces a visibly superior result in every patient or every body area.
| VASER trial detail | What it showed |
|---|---|
| Design | Multicentre randomised trial — VASER-assisted vs conventional suction-assisted treatment in the same patients |
| Skin retraction | 17% per litre with VASER vs 11% per litre conventional — statistically significant |
| Blood loss | Lower blood content in the aspirate with VASER (11.2 vs 14.0 mL per 100 mL) |
| At six months | No difference in pain, swelling or overall appearance between the two sides |
| The caveat | About six percentage points in absolute terms, from 20 patients; a published letter questioned the statistics and methods behind the difference |
What’s the practical message?
- Dense or fibrous tissue: VASER may justify its premium.
- Revision surgery: it may offer practical advantages.
- High-definition sculpting: useful when precise superficial work is planned.
- Soft fat with good skin: standard, well-performed liposuction may already give you what you need.
Is skin tightening included in the liposuction cost?
Not automatically. Liposuction and skin-tightening procedures are separate components unless the quotation specifically states both are included. If VASER, RF-assisted tightening or another adjunct is proposed, ask why it’s recommended and what it adds to the bill. → Full technique comparison · VASER liposuction in detail
How Are Lipo 360 and Combination Procedures Priced?
Lipo 360 typically costs ₹1,50,000 to ₹2,00,000 and multi-area combinations ₹1,20,000 to ₹2,50,000 — priced as one combined procedure rather than by adding independent area prices, because several surgical and facility costs are shared during one suitable session.
What does Lipo 360 include?
Lipo 360 treats the abdomen, flanks, hips and lower back as one continuous contour, so the surgeon can address the transition between these regions rather than viewing each as an isolated fat pocket. Reducing the abdomen while leaving prominent flanks creates an obvious difference between the front and sides of the torso.
| What you are paying for | Usually priced |
|---|---|
| Theatre and facility setup | Once |
| Anaesthesia and anaesthetist | Once |
| Surgical team | Once |
| Compression garment | Once in many cases |
| Postoperative review programme | Once |
| Additional surgical time | Increases with each area |
| Additional consumables | Increase with treatment scale |
Which combinations are we most often asked to quote?
| Combination | Why patients choose it |
|---|---|
| Abdomen + flanks | Avoids a shelf between the front and sides |
| Abdomen + flanks + back | Smooths the waist all the way round |
| Arms + upper back | Treats the underarm and bra-roll transition together |
| Inner + outer thighs | Balances the leg from every angle |
| Full Lipo 360 | One continuous torso contour |

How Does Revision or a Tummy Tuck Compare in Cost?
Revision liposuction is quoted after examination and can cost more than first-time surgery, while a tummy tuck has a different cost structure from the ₹80,000–₹1,30,000 abdomen-liposuction band. The right comparison is which operation your anatomy needs — a cheaper procedure that can’t fix the actual problem is the more expensive choice in the end.
| Comparison | Cost structure | What decides it |
|---|---|---|
| Liposuction | Priced by areas, volume and technique | Localised fat with reasonably elastic skin |
| Tummy tuck | A more extensive operation — a different cost structure | Excess skin and/or separated abdominal muscles |
| Revision liposuction | Can cost more than first-time surgery | Fibrosis, irregularity or altered planes from previous surgery |
| Liposuction with skin tightening | Separate components unless stated | Whether the adjunct genuinely adds value |
Is a tummy tuck more expensive than liposuction?
Generally, a tummy tuck is a more extensive operation, so its cost structure is different. It may include removal of excess skin and repair of separated abdominal muscles, while liposuction mainly removes localised fat under the skin. ASPS describes a tummy tuck as removing excess fat and skin and, in most cases, restoring weakened or separated muscles — and where skin has lost elasticity, liposuction alone may leave a deflated look. → Liposuction vs tummy tuck
Why can revision liposuction cost more?
Revision may be more technically demanding because previous surgery can leave fibrosis, contour irregularity or altered tissue planes. The surgeon may need additional planning or technology, so an accurate revision quote usually needs a direct examination. Bring your previous operation notes.
Are non-surgical options cheaper?
Per session, often — but they suit only small, soft fat pockets and may need several sessions. For a substantial contour change they aren’t an equivalent option, so compare the total cost against what each can realistically achieve. → Fat-dissolving injections · Non-surgical lipolysis
How Should Patients Compare Liposuction Quotes Properly?
A ₹60,000 quote and a ₹1,20,000 quote for “stomach liposuction” can describe completely different operations — so compare them line by line on the same points before comparing totals. A blank or unclear line is a reason to ask, not proof that a service is missing.
Apples-to-apples quote checklist
| Check on every quote | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Who is operating | The surgeon named on the quote should be the one who examined you |
| Areas listed one by one | “Abdomen” may or may not include the flanks |
| Technique and any premium | VASER, laser or HD sculpting stated as its own line |
| Anaesthesia and anaesthetist | Method, who gives it and who monitors you |
| Day-care or overnight | Whether observation is included if your case needs it |
| Garment, medicines, reviews | Each item included or separately billed |
| GST | Shown as its own line — never absorbed into the headline price |
| Revision or touch-up terms | What happens, and what is charged, if more care is needed |
What Hidden Costs Do Liposuction Patients Forget?
Beyond the ₹45,000–₹2,50,000 surgical fee, budget for GST, tests, a spare garment, time off work and — if you’re travelling — your stay in Mumbai. Plan the whole journey, not just the operation.
| Hidden cost | Applies to | What to plan |
|---|---|---|
| GST | Everyone | Shown separately on your invoice — add it to the guide range |
| Pre-operative tests | Everyone | Blood tests and fitness assessment as advised |
| Spare compression garment | Everyone | One worn while the other is washed |
| Time off work | Everyone | Desk work commonly 3–7 days; standing work 1–2 weeks; physical work 3–4 weeks or longer |
| Overnight observation | Larger or multi-area cases | Added only when volume or medical factors require it |
| Optional lymphatic massage | If you choose it | Not essential — a separate cost |
| Travel and stay in Mumbai | Outstation and international patients | Early monitoring and a review before you fly home |
Don’t book a non-refundable return flight until your surgery date and review are agreed at consultation. → Liposuction recovery
Is GST Charged on Cosmetic Liposuction in India?
Yes — cosmetic liposuction attracts GST, which is shown separately on your invoice and isn’t included in the ₹45,000–₹2,50,000 guide ranges. India’s healthcare-service exemption specifically excludes cosmetic and plastic surgery, except where it is undertaken to restore or reconstruct anatomy or function affected by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, injury or trauma.
| Situation | GST treatment |
|---|---|
| Cosmetic body contouring | GST charged at the prevailing rate and shown separately |
| Reconstructive or functional treatment | Tax treatment may differ, depending on why the procedure is performed |
| On your invoice | GST appears as its own line — never absorbed into a headline price |
The exemption isn’t automatic — it doesn’t apply simply because a cosmetic procedure takes place in a hospital or clinical establishment. Whether an individual medically indicated procedure qualifies for different tax treatment is determined by the clinical indication and professional tax advice.
Are EMI or Financing Options Available for Liposuction?
Yes — EMI is available for liposuction at Allure Medspa, so a ₹45,000–₹2,50,000 plan can be spread over instalments, subject to eligibility and the finance partner’s current terms. A loan is a separate agreement from your treatment, so get its terms in writing before you commit to a surgery date.
| Ask for in writing | Why |
|---|---|
| The finance partner or card scheme | Who you are actually borrowing from |
| Tenure options — and whether any no-cost EMI applies | The monthly figure depends on it |
| Eligibility requirements and documents | Approval isn’t automatic |
| Interest, processing fees and total payable | An instalment isn’t the total cost |
| The deposit and balance payment schedule | What is due before the surgery date |
How do I book liposuction?
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Consultation — ₹1,500 | In person, or virtual where appropriate; adjusted against surgery if the surgery is done within 6 months |
| 2. Written quotation | Issued after assessment, with GST shown separately |
| 3. Fitness clearance | Investigations as advised |
| 4. Surgery date | Confirmed once medical and payment requirements are complete |
| 5. Pre-operative instructions | Supplied to you in writing |
→ Consultation and preparation guide
Is Liposuction Covered by Insurance in India?
Cosmetic liposuction — ₹45,000 to ₹2,50,000 at Allure Medspa — is generally self-paid, because cosmetic surgery falls under a standard health-insurance exclusion in India. IRDAI’s standardised exclusion Excl08 covers “expenses for cosmetic or plastic surgery or any treatment to change appearance”, with exceptions for reconstruction after an accident, burns or cancer, or medically necessary treatment to remove a direct and immediate health risk certified by the attending doctor.
| Situation | Coverage position |
|---|---|
| Cosmetic body contouring | Normally not covered |
| Reconstruction after an accident, burns or cancer | Exception in the Excl08 wording — case-by-case under your policy |
| Medically necessary treatment for a direct and immediate health risk | Exception in the Excl08 wording — certified by the treating doctor; the insurer decides |
| Pre-authorisation | Get written approval before surgery if you intend to claim |
| Claim outcome | We can provide accurate documentation, but no clinic can promise an insurer will approve your claim |
If reimbursement matters to your budget, read your actual policy schedule and exclusion wording, ask the insurer which documents it needs, and get its decision in writing before arranging treatment.
Why Choose a Premium Centre Over a Low-Cost Liposuction Package?
A liposuction price far below comparable quotes — for example well under the ₹80,000–₹1,30,000 abdomen band — deserves examination, because a lower figure can reflect differences in facility standards, anaesthesia cover, postoperative monitoring, treatment time, or simply what’s been left out of the written quotation. Price alone can’t tell you whether a clinic is suitable.
| What to check | Why it matters | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Surgical facility | Liposuction should be performed in an appropriate licensed setting; large-volume cases need more monitoring | Where will I be operated on? If accreditation is claimed, check it on NABH’s public list |
| 2. Qualified anaesthesia cover | Where an anaesthetist is needed, their involvement is part of appropriate surgical care | Who will administer and monitor my anaesthesia? |
| 3. Overnight capability | Larger cases need a plan for postoperative monitoring | Can I stay overnight if the case needs it? |
| 4. Adequate operating time | More volume and areas increase duration and complexity | Is this plan based on what’s safe, or on a package price? |
A quote shouldn’t be made artificially lower by assuming every case will automatically be day-care. Not every patient needs an overnight stay, but a centre doing larger cases should be able to provide it.
What can a poor first result cost later?
- Revision is harder than first-time surgery — previously treated tissue may contain scar tissue and altered fat planes.
- Contour problems are among the commonest complications — a 2024 meta-analysis of 29,368 patients reported an overall complication rate of 2.62%, with contour deformity (including need for touch-up) the most common, at about 2.35%.
- You pay twice — for the first operation and for the correction, with a second recovery.
Why Can Liposuction Cost Vary Across Mumbai?
Within Mumbai, liposuction quotes vary with the facility, anaesthesia set-up, surgeon seniority, technique and the care around surgery — Allure Medspa’s guide ranges run from ₹45,000 to ₹2,50,000 depending on the plan.
| Local factor | Effect on the quote |
|---|---|
| Facility and its standards | Licensed theatres with monitoring and recovery care carry real overheads |
| Anaesthesia set-up | A dedicated anaesthetist and monitoring for the planned method |
| Surgeon seniority | Experience with contour, combinations and revision |
| Technique and equipment | VASER, laser or HD work add consumables and time |
| Stay arrangements | Day-care versus an observed or overnight stay |
| Follow-up structure | Number of included reviews and garment provision |
| What the quote leaves out | GST, tests and garments may be inside or outside the headline |
Why Can Liposuction Cost Vary Across India and Abroad?
Liposuction cost can’t be compared reliably by city or country alone — Allure Medspa’s ₹45,000–₹2,50,000 guide ranges only line up with another quote if the areas, volume, technique, anaesthesia and follow-up match. An advertised figure elsewhere may cover one small area or only part of the care.
| Location or reference | Price information | How to compare it |
|---|---|---|
| Mumbai, Allure Medspa | ₹45,000 – ₹2,50,000 guide range by plan | Use the individually assessed areas and written inclusions |
| Other Indian cities | Obtain a current, case-specific quotation | Compare equivalent areas, technique, facility, reviews and taxes — not a city average |
| United States (ASPS reference) | Average surgeon’s fee $4,711 | Excludes anaesthesia, operating-room facilities and other related expenses — not an all-inclusive bill |
Travelling to Mumbai? Plan the treatment and travel budgets together, including early monitoring and a review before you fly. Virtual consultation is available for outstation and international patients.
Frequently Asked Questions About Liposuction Cost
Q1. How much does liposuction cost in Mumbai?
Ans. At Allure Medspa, liposuction typically costs ₹45,000 to ₹2,50,000, depending on the number of areas, total volume removed, technique, and whether day-care or overnight monitoring is required. A double chin starts around ₹45,000 and Lipo 360 runs ₹1,50,000–₹2,00,000. Your exact cost follows examination, with GST shown separately.
Q2. How much does stomach or abdomen liposuction cost?
Ans. Abdomen liposuction in Mumbai typically costs ₹80,000 to ₹1,30,000, depending on how much fat is treated and whether neighbouring areas such as the flanks need to be included for a balanced contour. The final quote also depends on anaesthesia, technique and the scale of the procedure.
Q3. Does VASER cost more than regular liposuction?
Ans. Yes. VASER carries an additional cost over standard tumescent liposuction because of equipment, consumables and time, and it should only be recommended when your tissue or planned sculpting is likely to benefit. Dense fat, selected revision cases and high-definition work are the usual examples; the premium is stated in your written quote.
Q4. How is multi-area or Lipo 360 liposuction priced?
Ans. Lipo 360 typically costs ₹1,50,000 to ₹2,00,000 and is priced as a combination rather than four separate area prices, because theatre setup, anaesthesia, surgical team and postoperative costs are shared during one procedure. Additional areas still increase surgical time and consumables, so the figure isn’t fixed.
Q5. Is liposuction covered by insurance in India?
Ans. Cosmetic liposuction is generally excluded from standard health-insurance coverage in India under IRDAI’s Excl08 wording. Medically indicated treatment may be considered differently, depending on your diagnosis, policy wording, documentation and the insurer’s approval. We can provide clinical records where appropriate, but no claim outcome can be promised.
Q6. Are EMI options available for liposuction?
Ans. Yes, EMI is available, subject to eligibility and the finance partner’s current terms. Tenure, interest, processing fees and the payment schedule depend on the option selected, so ask for the finance terms in writing — including the total repayable amount — before choosing a surgery date.
Q7. Are anaesthesia and hospital charges included in the liposuction price?
Ans. At Allure Medspa the surgeon’s fee, anaesthetist, theatre charges, standard consumables, the first compression garment, initial medicines, scheduled reviews and day-care stay are included. GST, pre-operative tests, overnight admission when required and a spare garment may be separate — every line appears on your written quotation.
Q8. Does liposuction cost increase with the number of areas treated?
Ans. Yes, generally — additional areas increase operating time, anaesthesia requirements, consumables and the overall extent of surgery. But multiple areas done in one operation may be quoted as a combined plan rather than simply adding individual area prices together, which is why a combination often costs less than separate operations.
Q9. Does revision liposuction cost more than first-time liposuction?
Ans. It can. Revision may be more technically demanding because previous surgery can leave fibrosis, contour irregularity or altered tissue planes, and it may need additional planning or technology. An accurate revision quote usually requires direct examination, so bring your previous operation notes to the consultation.
Q10. Can I get an exact liposuction cost from photos?
Ans. Photos can support a preliminary estimate, but an exact quotation needs physical examination of fat distribution, skin elasticity and the areas to be treated. Photos can’t reliably show tissue firmness, muscle separation or how much abdominal fat is visceral rather than under the skin, which changes the plan.
