About the process
Straight teeth and a revitalized smile may no longer need to come from a mouth full of unattractive wire and bracket braces. Enhancing self-esteem and physical confidence, invisible braces offer an aesthetic and barely visible alternative to conventional wire/bracket braces. Invisible braces are the optimum way to change your smile without affecting your lifestyle.
Invisible braces are a discreet way to straighten teeth using custom-made, almost completely transparent aligners. It utilizes a clear plastic appliance, as oppose to the white porcelain of clear braces, that is virtually invisible.
Invisible braces can be used to treat the following orthodontic conditions:
- Overbite or overjet
- Crowded or widely spaced teeth
- Crooked teeth
What is Invisible Braces Procedure
Your Invisible braces treatment begins during your initial consultation with our Orthodontics. During that meeting, she will carefully evaluate your mouth, teeth and gums to determine whether or not Invisible braces can correct your unique dental issues and deliver the ideal smile you desire.
From there, our orthodontist at Allure MedSpa will take x-rays, photos and impressions of your teeth to plan for your treatment, including the precise movements of your teeth at every stage. A series of custom-made tray aligners will then be created just for you. You can expect these aligners to be extremely comfortable, and they won’t irritate your teeth or gums as can sometimes happen with traditional metal braces. You’ll wear your aligners for at least 20 hours every day, taking them out only to eat meals and brush your teeth.
Through this process, the aligners gradually and gently shift your teeth into their optimal position. Approximately every two weeks you’ll wear a new set of aligners, which will advance you through our Orthodontist’s treatment plan and move you one step closer to your beautiful new smile. Throughout your treatment, you will also have routine visits with the orthodontist at Allure MedSpa so that she can monitor your progress and ensure an optimal outcome.
At Allure MedSpa, patients of all ages love Invisible braces because of the many benefits they offer, including the ability to:
- Straighten your teeth as discreetly as possible.
- Remove the appliance whenever you want, giving you more freedom.
- Eat without any food restrictions because of your braces.
- Treat a wide range of dental issues.
- Brush and floss your teeth normally, promoting optimal oral health.
- Have less office visits to check on your progress.
- Achieve a beautiful smile with less irritation to your cheeks and gums.
Invisible braces involve using a custom series of aligner trays that are comprised of smooth and virtually invisible plastic. Worn over your teeth every day, the trays will gradually shift your teeth and create a beautiful new smile, based on the strategic movements your orthodontist has planned.

We will provide you with a bevy of options customized to you or your child’s particular goals and needs. Orthodontist treatments have to be customised basis individual conditions and have to be tailor made for every patient for best results.
Possible Consequences / Precautions
While fairly comfortable, clear aligners can cause discomfort or mild pain, particularly at the beginning when new aligners are placed and exert pressure on the teeth to move them.
AMS recommendation for best results
As clear aligners are removable, they may require more motivation and self-discipline to wear consistently, and they are easier to misplace or lose. Lost clear aligners may result in treatment delay and additional replacement costs. So an extra care and diligence is advised.
Improvements are progressive and final results take upto a few months.
The length of treatment depends on your situation and the type of invisible braces you are wearing. Typically, braces are worn from 18 to 24 months, though they are sometimes worn longer.
Number of sessions
Average treatment time is roughly one year for our adult patients, but results can vary based on your condition and aesthetic goals. You will typically return to our office every six weeks for a routine examination to evaluate your progress.

Quick Facts for Invisible Braces
Are you the right fit for the procedure?
Invisible braces are designed for adults and older teenagers; invisible braces are not recommended when baby teeth remain. Children and younger teenagers faced with orthodontic problems will require traditional metal braces with brackets/wires on the front of the teeth. However, only your dentist or orthodontist can determine if you are a candidate for invisible braces. The clear aligner treatment was designed primarily for adults due to the need for absolute and rigid cooperation; the trays are worn 22 hours per day and should not be forgotten or lost.
Are you ready to take decision or need help? Travel with decision makers.
In procedures where prior consent of immediate family is required, you will have to travel with the decision makers.
You must be mentally braced up to adjust to aligners inside your mouth for a couple of months and follow the advice of the orthodontist diligently.

Invisible Braces Before and After Photos
Invisible Braces FAQs
- What do braces do?
Dental braces correct teeth that are crowded, crooked, protruding, out of alignment or have irregular spacing. By moving the teeth into the ideal position, dental braces help to create a more attractive and healthier smile for both children and adults.
- What are braces made of?
Dental brace wires are made of materials that reposition the teeth and underlying roots more readily and with less discomfort than in the past. Titanium implants may be anchored in the bone on the side of the mouth or palate to help shift teeth back and allow for more room if necessary.
- Are there different types of braces?
Yes. There are invisible braces that are clear aligners (that gradually move your teeth to correct spacing and crowding issues. There also are tooth-coloured brackets and wires that are less noticeable, as well as braces that can be placed on the lingual (back side) of the teeth. In addition, some braces can be worn for shorter periods of time.
- How long do you keep braces on for?
The standard treatment phase is two years. The duration of treatment varies based on age, the extensiveness of the procedure (some people require more work than others) and how closely the treatment plan is followed. Some orthodontic options, such as Six Month Smiles, provide teeth straightening of the front teeth only in approximately six months if certain criteria are met.
- What causes crooked teeth?
There are several factors that may contribute to misalignment, crooked teeth, and crowded teeth, including supernumerary teeth (extra teeth; also called hyperdontia), missing teeth, tongue thrusting, thumb sucking and jaw function problems.
- Why are braces necessary?
When teeth are crooked and crowded, it’s very difficult to keep them clean by brushing and flossing properly, which can lead to tooth decay, gum disease and possible tooth loss. An improper bite interferes with chewing and speaking, and causes abnormal wear on tooth enamel. If your teeth protrude and/or your upper and lower teeth don’t come together comfortably (called maloclussion , or a bad bite), jaw problems also may arise.
- What’s the right age to have braces?
Orthodontic treatment with dental braces should usually begin between the ages of eight and 14 in order to achieve the best results. It is ideal to have an orthodontic evaluation no later than the age of seven, since this is when there is a good mix of primary (baby) and adult teeth in the mouth. Dentists are better able to spot developing teeth and jaw growth at this time in a child’s life, which enables them to anticipate problems that may arise and plan braces treatment accordingly.
- Do braces work for adults?
Yes. Adults also can benefit from orthodontic treatment with dental braces to correct alignment, spacing, crowding and malocclusion problems. The process for moving teeth is basically the same at any age, but the treatment may take longer for adults because their facial bones are no longer growing, and certain corrections may not be possible utilizing braces alone. Tooth extraction or maxillofacial surgery may be required.
- Are braces painful?
When dental braces are first placed and later adjusted, there may be some tightness, which typically progresses to soreness, for approximately four to six hours after the appointment. This soreness directly results from the dentist tightening the arch wires so the teeth continue to move into the correct position. Over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers are recommended to help relieve this pain. The soreness will decrease in about three to five days.
- Who provides braces?
Orthodontists are the dentists specializing in the practice of orthodontics, which involves tooth movement and facial development, and the dental professionals who most often perform braces treatments.
- Why is braces applied?
If you have difficulty in chewing food, or have crooked or maligned teeth, you can go ahead and apply braces to get rid of the issues.
- How long will the procedure take to complete?
The procedure is done within some hour and will take few visits to the dentist.
- Where will the braces be applied?
The braces will be applied behind your teeth, so that it is not visible.
- For how long will I have to apply the braces?
It depends on your type of teeth; the dentist will advise you regarding this.
- Will the braces be visible while applying it?
The braces will be transparent; therefore it will not be visible at all.
- At what age can I apply the braces?
Braces can be applied at any age.
- Is there any side effects?
There are no side effects of this procedure.
- Will I feel pain while applying braces?
No, there is no such pain after applying the braces. However, you might feel little irritation and difficulty in speaking initially, which will get quite normal, once you get adjusted to it.
- Will it be comfortable wearing it?
The braces are quite comfortable.
